A car is recommended on Paros. Paros spreads its beaches and inland villages around the island, which a car ties together easily. Buses link the main towns, but they run to their own timetable and skip the quiet corners.

Where to pick up a car in Paros
You can collect a car at Paros (PAS) and at the Parikia port, and many agencies also deliver to your hotel. Book ahead for July and August, when the island fleets sell out and the walk-up desks run short.

Driving in Paros
Paros driving is on the right, like the rest of Greece, and the island roads are narrow and winding rather than fast. The ring road links Parikia and the fishing town of Naoussa, and a short climb inland reaches the hillside village of Lefkes. A smaller car is the easier choice for tight village streets and steep gradients.
